Farmer of the Year Presentation
One of the highlights of Farm Expo is presenting the Farmer of the Year Award to an outstanding individual from our region, identified as having a real “heart” for farming. We are most appreciative that Kubota of Kingsport will again be sponsoring this special honor to a deserving member of our agricultural community. Kubota will present a $500 check and Kubota jacket to the Farm Expo ’23 Farmer of the Year on Saturday, February 4. The announcement will take place on the Farm Expo Kubota Main Stage.
Junior Farmer of the Year Presentation
The purpose of this program is to recognize exemplary efforts of our junior farmers in Northeast Tennessee-Southwest Virginia, specifically in the counties of Lee, Scott, Wise, Russell, and Washington in Virginia, and Hawkins, Sullivan, Washington, Carter, Unicoi, Johnson, and Greene in Tennessee. We are looking for those farmers who can be identified as having a real “heart” for farming.
Hog Callin’ Contests
Saturday, February 4th at 1:30pm on the Farm Expo Main Stage. Cash prizes and Pratt’s gift card for adults. Winner $100 cash prize 1st runner up $75 2nd runner up $50. Categories include Adults 18+, youth 13-17, juniors 7-12, little kids 6 and younger. All winners receive a $25 Gift certificate from Pratt’s BBQ restaurant in Kingsport! To Enter register at the Farm Expo front desk on Saturday, February 4th, no later than 1:00pm.
